White Plains
High school is a name used in some parts of the world and particularly in North America, to describe the last segment of compulsory secondary education. It is preceded by primary education. White Plains high school is a top high school situated in White Plains in United States. White Plains is a thriving suburban city of about 50,000 people located approximately 25 miles northeast of New York City. The Board is comprised of seven members, elected at large for three year terms. It is responsible for establishing policies which govern the education of all children attending district schools and for insuring adherence to state laws and regulations. The tree lined neighborhoods retain a small town feel, yet the town where the school is located, is the economic and political center of Westchester County.
The school districts nationally recognized Controlled Parents' choice program was established by the White Plains board of education in May of 1988. The White Plains public schools business office oversees the district's budget, facilities, transportation, food, nutrition services and financial activities. Their curriculum areas English language, arts, mathematics, science and social studies to name a few include basic concepts whose mastery is essential for a well rounded education. Many specialized programs which improve and enrich the students' lives, accommodate diverse learners and distinguish their district from others are conducted by the school.

The school believes that intellectual and moral excellence is achieved through the active participation of many people in diverse roles, which brings in a wide range of expertise and experience.
