McCallum
High school is a name used in some parts of the world, and particularly in North America, to describe the last segment of compulsory secondary education. It is preceded by primary education. High school is also the name used to describe the institution in which the final stage of compulsory education takes place. In the United States, high schools generally consist of grades 9, 10, 11, and 12, although the inclusion of grade 9 varies by school district.
McCallum is one of the top high schools. It is located in Austin, Texas. Their are approximately 400 students, one fourth of the larger McCallum student body, working within an accelerated Academy Track Highly motivated students from across the city. The major are in music, visual arts, dance, and theatre arts and work with outstanding faculty and staff in a creative and stimulating environment.
They also believe that while acknowledging their strengths, their specific challenges, and their diversity, people must be nurtured and have a sense of belonging by cultivating acts of kindness. McCallum high school offers the other activities such as Clubs that include Spanish Club, Football and Swim. The McCallum Fine Arts Academy was one of 42 schools nationwide selected on the basis of its remarkable music program as a 2005 Grammy Signature School.
They believe that all members of the McCallum High School community have the capacity to create a healthy learning environment where everyone feels both encouraged and, at the same time, challenged to fully realize his or her potential.
The athletics programs include baseball, basketball, men's, basketball, women's, cheerleading, cross country, football, golf, soccer, softball, swimming, men's and women's, tennis, men's and women's, track, volleyball, wrestling. McCallum is a dynamic school that promotes academic achievement, high expectations, respect, unity, and safety.
The mission of McCallumSchool is to offer an environment in which all students will acquire the necessary skills to become responsible thinkers who appreciate diversity and are productive citizens in their community.
