High school is a name used in some parts of the world, and particularly in North America, to describe the last segment of compulsory secondary education. It is preceded by primary education. High school is also the name used to describe the institution in which the final stage of compulsory education takes place. In the United States, high schools generally consist of grades 9, 10, 11, and 12, although the inclusion of grade 9 varies by school district.
 
George H. W. Bush High School is a secondary school from 9-12 grades. It is located at 6707 F.M. 1464 in unincorporated Fort Bend County, Texas with a Richmond. Bush is a part of the Fort Bend Independent School District, opening its doors to students on August 16, 2001. There was no senior class in the inaugural year. The sophomore and junior class consisted of students from Kempner High School and Austin High School. Shirley Rose is the principal of the school and Amelia Perez is the associate principal of the school. The high school serves several areas of unincorporated Fort Bend County, including Mission Bend. The high school receives its namesake from the forty-first president, George Herbert Walker Bush. The school mascot is bronco. The school colors are navy and orange.
 
The two-story structure has wide halls and staircases, beautiful terrazzo tiles throughout, and many windows and glass entrance ways showcasing the beautiful tree-strewn campus. The building is approximately 360,000 square feet and is configured to include 135 classrooms, 17 science laboratories, 11 state-of-the-art computer laboratories, a spacious commons area and a modern library. The campus’ 65 acres are comprised of three large parking lots, two gymnasiums, a large auditorium, softball field, baseball field, field house, football field, track, practice field, two soccer fields and two tennis courts.

George Bush offers the service through different department such as administrative, clubs, fine arts, honor societies, organizations and sports. Their courses include academy classes, business education, career and technology, journalism, foreign language and foreign language. The school is devoted to the education and individual improvement of every candidate. The school attempts to be aware and responsive in its program offerings in order to mirror the requirements of the changing world.
