Farmington
High school is a name used in some parts of the world, and particularly in North America, to describe the last segment of compulsory secondary education. It is preceded by primary education. High school is also the name used to describe the institution in which the final stage of compulsory education takes place. In the United States, high schools generally consist of grades 9, 10, 11, and 12, although the inclusion of grade 9 varies by school district.
Farmington Public Schools serves 12,000 students ranging in age from newborn to senior citizen living in Farmington, Farmington Hills, and a portion of West Bloomfield. About 100,000 residents live in this suburban area. The community supports cultural activities, religious institutions, service clubs, civic organizations and a community college. Farmington Public Schools does not discriminate on the basis of race, creed, color, national origin, age, marital status or disability. Farmington Public Schools is proud of their outstanding athletic teams and exceptional music and academic programs.
The mission of Farmington High School is to educate their students so that they will demonstrate performance and skill levels commensurate with a technologically changing society, that they reach their potential for creativity and lifelong learning, and that they enter the global community as productive, contributing members. They will accomplish all of this is a spirit of respect, and partnership, with open communication between parents, students, staff and community. The goal of Farmington High school is to propose the quality training that is necessary if students wish to obtain the skills essential to gain a competitive edge in the business world in the present day.
