Eleanor Roosevelt

High school is also the name used to describe the institution in which the final stage of compulsory education takes place. ERHS, Eleanor Roosevelt High School is a high school located in Greenbelt, Maryland and is part of the Prince George's County Public Schools system in the USA. It contains roughly 3000 students in grades 9 through 12. Eleanor Roosevelt High School is one of the largest public schools in Maryland. Mr. Sylvester Conyers is principal of the Eleanor Roosevelt High School.
Roosevelt was recognized by the United States Department of Education as a Blue Ribbon School in 1991 and 1998. Roosevelt was also recognized by the Department of Education as a New American High School in 1999-2000. Roosevelt has also been awarded the 2002-2003 Siemens Award for Advanced Placement. In 2002 Eleanor Roosevelt was recognized as a National School of Character by the Character Education Partnership in Washington, D.C.
Eleanor Roosevelt High School is one of the largest and one of the most academically rich high schools in Maryland. The school was recognized by the United States Department of Education as a Blue Ribbon School in 1991 and 1998, a New American High School in 1999-2000 and received a Siemens Award for Advanced Placement in 2002-2003.
Roosevelt is also the Science and Technology Center for the northern part of Prince Georges County and is a member of the National Consortium for Specialized Secondary Schools of Mathematics, Science, and Technology. Roosevelt boasts eight Foreign Languages. The Mission of the school is meeting the challenges of a changing world by creating a community of caring life long learners.
Eleanor Roosevelt High School is highly academic and offers not only several Advanced Placement courses, but a wide variety of athletic and extra curricular opportunities for all students.
