Shoemaker High School is located in central Texas. Shoemaker High School is part of the Killeen Independent School District. Fort Hood, the largest military installation in the world, provides the major economic base for the community. The school district has a student population of over 36,000 students which includes students from the Killeen, Fort Hood, Harker Heights, and Nolanville communities. There are 30 elementary schools, 12 middle schools, 4 high schools and 5 special campuses.
 
The athletics programs include baseball, basketball, men's, basketball, women's, cheerleading, cross country, football, golf, soccer, softball, swimming, men's and women's, tennis, men's and women's, track, volleyball, wrestling. Shoemaker High School is a dynamic school that promotes academic achievement, high expectations, respect, unity, and safety.
