Coral Reef High School
Coral Reef High School is a top high school situated in the United States. Coral Reef High School is a secondary school located in Miami, Florida. Adrianne F. Leal is the principal. Coral Reef is locally known as Miami's Mega Magnet School since it offers six different magnet programs. According to Newsweek's List of the 1,000 Top U.S. Schools in 2006, the school is ranked at 29th in the nation, making it 7th in the state of Florida.
The campus includes a seven-acre community park, four outdoor basketball courts, six tennis courts, a quarter-mile track, football and soccer practice fields and softball and baseball fields. In additional, there is an agriscience land-laboratory containing a greenhouse, garden and aquatic and small animal areas. The ITD, Information Technology Department is the heart of an innovative learning initiative at Coral Reef High School that places the school at the forefront of today's information revolution. ITD's mission is to combine the best of both digital and analog tools in order to create an optimum teaching and learning environment.
Even though Coral Reef Senior High School is the only full-service high school in Miami-Dade County to receive an A in the Governor's A plus plan and has enjoyed that designation for the past three years. Coral Reef accepts challenges and will continue to provide a quality, world-class education for all members of its diverse student body. The mission of Coral Reef Senior High School, in partnership with all of its stakeholders, is to create a community of learners who embrace their diversity but yet work together, united by a common purpose, to acquire the knowledge and skills required for success as citizens of a global society.
