High school is a name used in some parts of the world, and particularly in North America, to describe the last segment of compulsory secondary education. It is preceded by primary education. High school is also the name used to describe the institution in which the final stage of compulsory education takes place. In the United States, high schools generally consist of grades 9, 10, 11, and 12, although the inclusion of grade 9 varies by school district.
Cocoa Beach  High School is located in Cocoa Beach in Brevard County, Florida. It is one of 80 plus schools that form the Brevard County Public School District. Brevard County is on the east central coast of Florida and spans 72 miles along the Atlantic Ocean. Cocoa Beach, which encompasses several miles of the central Brevard coast, is widely recognized for its scenic and peaceful beaches. The western boundary of the county provides excellent fishing, boating and camping in a rural setting.
Principal  of the school is Timothy Cool. Their department includes business, Lang arts, Spanish, biology, history, English, social studies, social studies, math, physics, biology research, chemistry. Clubs includes band boosters, beta club, drama club, national honor society, national junior honor society and robotics. The faculty and staff of Cocoa Beach High School believe it is the responsibility of the school to create an atmosphere in which every student can increase worth to their self and society and to stimulate successful learning in the environment that will provide an opportunity for participation in both curricular and extra-curricular activities.
Cocoa Beach High School is committed to providing a flexible, integrated learning environment stressing critical thinking skills, community involvement, creative educational methods, and active learning experiences on the part of students. The school’s goal is to involve students directly in the learning and democratic process, help them gain a sense of civic responsibility and positive self-esteem, and empower them to meet the challenges of an ever-changing global and technical society.
