Hollywood
High school is a name used in some parts of the world, and particularly in North America, to describe the last segment of compulsory secondary education. It is preceded by primary education. High school is also the name used to describe the institution in which the final stage of compulsory education takes place. In the United States, high schools generally consist of grades 9, 10, 11, and 12, although the inclusion of grade 9 varies by school district.
Founded in 1907, Hollywood High School is one of the oldest high schools in the United States. Hollywood High School is located at Hollywood, California. The school dress colors are crimson and white and it sports teams are called the Sheiks. Hollywood High School grew into the most well known and one of the most prominent high schools in America. Their alumni rank highly among celebrities, athletes, business professionals and public officers.
With a long history of fine academic scholars who have taught and administered, this school has grown to have one of the highest rates of ethnic diversity in the city of Los Angeles. The school serves Hollywood, Beachwood Canyon and Outpost Estates.
Hollywood High School offers a comprehensive educational program to all students in order to provide each student with the skills and knowledge to attain his or her individual goals. In return the student is expected to become a responsible and contributing member of their diverse community.
