Aragon High School
High school is a name used in some parts of the world, and particularly in North America, to describe the last segment of compulsory secondary education. It is preceded by primary education. High school is also the name used to describe the institution in which the final stage of compulsory education takes place. In the United States, high schools generally consist of grades 9, 10, 11, and 12, although the inclusion of grade 9 varies by school district.
Aragon High School is an American public high school in San Mateo, California which is part of the San Mateo Unified High School District. Aragon High School was established in 1959 to accommodate development and population growth in San Mateo. The Nutrition 1 to 2 is a one year course in nutrition education. The course includes planning and preparing foods that contribute to nutritionally balanced meals. Each student will have experiences with the following topics include menu analysis, consumer economics, use and care of equipment, and food choices that promote good health.
Aragon will be a comprehensive high school with a reputation for quality academic, career, and co-curricular programs. These programs serve as models of creative and innovative solutions that meet the changing emotional, physical and educational needs of its student population and professional staff. The culturally diverse staff will be dedicated to professional growth, innovation, and collaboration leading to improved instruction.
This is Aragon High School’s 46th school year. Their motto, excellence and equity, characterizes their commitment towards attaining excellence and providing equity. The first three define excellence as it relates to student achievement and their instructional practices. The mission of Aragon High School is to guide students to become productive and contributing members of society. In a safe and caring environment, Aragon will provide a strong academic and co-curricular program.
Aragon High School has successfully included a diverse range of facilities for their candidates in various fields. The Academy's key mission is to teach students serve efficiently future betterment.
