Killeen is a city in Bell County, Texas, United States. As of the 2005 census, the city had a total population of 100,233 inhabitants. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 91.7 square kilometers. The 91.6 square kilometers of it is land and 0.1 square kilometers of it 0.14 percent is water. In the city the population was spread out with 29.9 percent under the age of 18, 16.0 percent from 18 to 24, 35.7 percent from 25 to 44, 13.6 percent from 45 to 64, and 4.9 percent who were 65 years of age or older. For every 100 females there were 100.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 100.1 males.
Killeen experiences a boom with day tourists, owing to the clear air, town character with rich culture, high quality of life and conspicuously original history.
