The United States of America is a country in North America that extends from the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific Ocean and shares land borders with Canada and Mexico. The United States is a federal constitutional republic, with its capital in Washington, D.C., District of Columbia.

Trenton is the capital of the State of New Jersey. As of the 2005 census, the City of Trenton had a population of 85,314. Trenton is also the county seat of Mercer County. The first settlement which would become Trenton was established by Quakers in 1679, in the region then called the Falls of the Delaware, led by Mahlon Stacy from Handsworth, Sheffield, UK. Quakers were being persecuted in England at this time and North America provided the perfect opportunity to exercise their religious freedom. By 1719, the town adopted the name Trent-towne, after William Trent, one of its leading landholders who purchased much of the surrounding land from Stacy's family. This name later was shortened to Trenton.

Trenton is located at the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 8.1 square miles, 7.7 square miles of it is land and 0.5 square miles of it is water. The total area is 6.01 percent water. Trenton enjoys a humid continental temperate climate with some marine influence due to the nearby Atlantic Ocean.

In the city the population was spread out with 27.7 percent under the age of 18, 10.1 percent from 18 to 24, 31.9 percent from 25 to 44, 18.9 percent from 45 to 64, and 11.4 percent who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 32 years. For every 100 females there were 97.6 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 96.0 males. Public transportation within and beyond the city is mostly provided by New Jersey Transit, in the form of local bus routes between nearby suburbs and the city, as well as commuter train service northward from the Trenton Rail Station along the Northeast Corridor to Newark and New York. Today, one can also learn about its history, from its earliest times and gain enthusiasm in its natural beauty and populace. Trenton enjoys a very positive reputation with worldwide travelers.
