Sebring is a city in Highlands County, Florida, United States. The population was 9,667 inhabitants at the 2000 census. As of 2004, the population recorded by the U.S. Census Bureau is 10,076 inhabitants. It is the county seat of Highlands County. Sebring is the home of the Sebring International Raceway, created on a former airbase, first used in 1950. It hosted the 1959 Formula One United States Grand Prix, but is currently best known as the host of the 12 Hours of Sebring, an annually held sports car race.
 
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 28.5 square kilometers. In the city the population was spread out with 22.1 percent under the age of 18, 7.9 percent from 18 to 24, 22.8 percent from 25 to 44, 19.4 percent from 45 to 64, and 27.7 percent who were 65 years of age or older. For every 100 females there were 91.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 88.6 males.
