Scottsburg
The United States of America is a country in North America that extends from the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific Ocean and shares land borders with Canada and Mexico. The United States is a federal constitutional republic, with its capital in Washington, D.C., District of Columbia. Scottsburg is a municipality in Scott County, Indiana, United States, about 30 miles north of Louisville, Kentucky. In 2000, the population of the city was 6,040 and an area of 12.5 square kilometers. The city is the county seat of Scott County. In the city the population was spread out with 24.2 percent under the age of 18, 10.9 percent from 18 to 24, 29.5 percent from 25 to 44, 20.3 percent from 45 to 64, and 15.1 percent who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 35 years. For every 100 females there were 90.4 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 85.2 males.
A city known for its historic myths and traditions, scenic beauty, cooperative people and luxurious hotels and cottages, Scottsburg is one of the favorite holiday destinations for most of the vacation lovers.
