Olean
The United States of America is a country in North America that extends from the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific Ocean and shares land borders with Canada and Mexico. The United States is a federal constitutional republic, with its capital in Washington, D.C., District of Columbia. Olean is a municipality in Cattaraugus County, New York, United States. In 2000, the population of the city was 15,347 and an area of 16.0 square kilometers. The city of Olean is within the town of Olean and is located in the southeast part of the county. Olean is the biggest city in Cattaraugus County, and serves as the financial, business, transportation and entertainment center of the county. In the city the population was spread out with 24.6 percent under the age of 18, 8.0 percent from 18 to 24, 27.2 percent from 25 to 44, 22.3 percent from 45 to 64, and 17.9 percent who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 38 years. For every 100 females there were 88.1 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 84.3 males.
A city known for its historic myths and traditions, scenic beauty, cooperative people and luxurious hotels and cottages, Olean is one of the favorite holiday destinations for most of the vacation lovers.
