Yorktown is located at Yorktown Heights, New York. The pprincipal of the school is Randall Glading. Yorktown Heights is a suburban residential town in Westchester County, 50 miles north of New York City. Their current population is over 37,000 inhabitants. Yorktown Central Schools serve almost one-half of this total with the remaining group attending the Lakeland District. The community has consistently supported education and strives to maintain a quality program for its children.
 
The enrollment in grades 9 to 12 is 1394 with their current senior class numbering 344. Yorktown is accredited by the New York State Board of Regents and the Middle States. Their High School community believes strongly that the primary focus of their school is to help students recognize and achieve their goals. They offer students a rigorous college preparatory program plus strong programs in special education, business and occupational education.
 
Their departments include art, business education, English languages, life studies, mathematics, music, physical education and athletics, science, social studies and special education. Their clubs are environmental club, film club, key club, math club, philosophy club, Dance Company, science Olympiad.
 
The athletics programs include baseball, basketball, men's, basketball, women's, cheerleading, cross country, football, golf, soccer, softball, swimming, men's and women's, tennis, men's and women's, track, volleyball, wrestling. Yorktown school is a dynamic school that promotes academic achievement, high expectations, respect, unity, and safety.
