Winter Park High School is a School in Winter Park, Florida and one of seventeen public high schools in Orange County. The school was established in the year 1927. William R. Gordon II is the principal of the school. The school colors are orange and black. The mascot is Willie the Wildcat. The student enrollment in the Ninth Grade Center for the 2005 to 2006 school years was 1,053. In 2006, the school was listed at 291 in Newsweek's 1,200 Top United States schools. The Florida department of education gave the school a A plus rating in the 2005 to 2006 school year.
 
Winter Park High school has a notable performing arts program. In 2003 to 2004, it was named a Performing arts demonstration school for Orange County. The sports teams train predominantly at the athletic complex on campus, which includes a gymnasium, aquatic center, baseball and softball fields and fields for lacrosse, football and soccer. The Naval Junior reserve Officer training unit at Winter Park High School is the largest campus organization with over 200 members actively participating. In addition, the school had a top rated speech and debate program in the past.
 
The school curriculum, as well as curricular and extra curricular activities, includes experiences that enable students to realize personal and civic goals which allow them to mature and to be responsible members of our constantly changing society. The school believes that intellectual and moral excellence is achieved through the active participation of many people in diverse roles, which brings in a wide range of expertise and experience.
