West
The West High school is a name used in some parts of the world, and particularly in North America, to describe the last segment of compulsory secondary education. It is meant to be preceded by primary education. High school is also the name used to describe the institution in which the final stage of compulsory education takes place. In the United States, high schools generally consist of grades 9, 10, 11, and 12, although the inclusion of grade 9 varies by school district.
West High School is being serving the community since 1890. Located at the Salt Lake City, Utah. Margery Parker is the principal and Ken DeVries is assisting to him. The West High School always encourages the support and involvement of the community so that they may form a partnership between them and their students in order to serve their students better.
The AVID, the Advancement Via Individual Determination curriculum is based on the rigorous standards of the students, and it is developed by the middle and high school teachers in collaboration with college professors, and they always emphasized teaching pedagogy which allowed preparatory classes to be accessible to all students.
The West High coaches go beyond the training of students in physical skills, they attempt to teach positive ideals to the students through competition. The affirmatively believe that participation in a sport is one of the major vehicles by which young men and women can learn to experience healthy fun and, at the same time, they can simultaneously develop their full potential as individuals.
West High Schools focuses as educators and passionately teaches their students according to the State of Utah's guideline and curriculum standards with rigor and relevance. The school also aims on targeting the success of their students. The institution is renowned due to qualities like supportive learning environment, respected and enthusiastic staff and faculty members, and the capability to meet the needs of the community’s wide ranging requirements.
