Skyview
High school is a name used in some parts of the world, and particularly in North America, to describe the last segment of compulsory secondary education. It is preceded by primary education. High school is also the name used to describe the institution in which the final stage of compulsory education takes place. In the United States, high schools generally consist of grades 9, 10, 11, and 12, although the inclusion of grade 9 varies by school district.
Skyview High School is a high school in Vancouver, Washington, located on 1300 Northwest 139th Street. Constructed in 1998, it is the newest of six high schools to be built in the Vancouver School District. It is also one of the largest, with almost two thousand enrolled students. The school color is pink and light green. Ed Little is a principal of the Skyview High School and its Mascot is storm.
Skyview High School's courses and programs are designed to meet the needs of every student. Besides core classes, Skyview offers opportunities in fine arts, technology, business, social sciences and foreign language. In addition, students can choose from a multitude of focuses and Honors classes, including various honors mathematics programs, the science, mathematics and technology magnet and sharp which is designed to prepare students for post-secondary education through English, social studies and history classes.
In sports, they have baseball, basketball, cross country, football, boys golf, softball, tennis, track and field, and volleyball girls these games are playing. The school's mission is to provide all students with the opportunities and environment to achieve academic and personal excellence while assuring that this is done in a safe and comfortable atmosphere.
Their unique high-value programs prepare the students with multiple skills so that they can acquire numerous certifications, careers and licenses within desired field.
