High school is a name used in some parts of the world, and particularly in North America, to describe the last segment of compulsory secondary education. It is preceded by primary education. High school is also the name used to describe the institution in which the final stage of compulsory education takes place. In the United States, high schools generally consist of grades 9, 10, 11, and 12, although the inclusion of grade 9 varies by school district.

Lower Merion High School is an American public high school in Ardmore, Pennsylvania. It is the larger of the two high schools in Lower Merion School District, which serves both Lower Merion Township and the Borough of Narberth. The school was founded in 1894. The athletics teams are known officially as the Aces, but many are also called the Bulldogs. Since 2003, the school's principal has been David Piperato.

It offers programs for students with a wide range of abilities, including honors, standard and modified classes along with supplementary programs for all types of students. The high school moved to a new granite and limestone building in 1910, allowing the Ardmore Avenue building to become an elementary school. A second school was built on east Montgomery, sharing the location with the lower Merion school district administration building.

The technology and engineering club was started by technology education teacher Mark Piotrowski during the 2002 to 2003 school years. The Lower Merion Babaganouj, an open ultimate team was created in the 2005 to 2006 school year with the special efforts of Christian Vanni. In their first season, Babaganouj fared relatively well, taking 5th in the state and sending a group of players to nationals with the regional youth club team.

The mission of the school is to provide their students equal opportunities to grow along with all round development. Its helps the students to understand their true potential and helps them to acquire knowledge in a unique way resulting in the development of values which are essential for future success. The school curriculum, as well as curricular and extra curricular activities, includes experiences that enable students to realize personal and civic goals.
