Fairport
High school is a name used in some parts of the world, and particularly in North America, to describe the last segment of compulsory secondary education. It is preceded by primary education. High school is also the name used to describe the institution in which the final stage of compulsory education takes place. In the United States, high schools generally consist of grades 9, 10, 11, and 12, although the inclusion of grade 9 varies by school district.
FHS, Fairport High School is the tenth through twelfth grade high school in Fairport, New York and is part of the Fairport Central School District. Current enrollment estimates have the student population around 2,000. Fairport's principal is David Paddock. He was voted the 2005 New York High School Principal of the Year for his leadership and vision of running the school.
The school's colors are red, white and blue. FHS has a very strong athletic tradition in many of its varsity sports such as basketball, hockey, field hockey, volleyball, soccer and baseball. They focus on training students for particular careers and then placing them in successful careers after graduation. They have a devoted team of staff and instructors ready and willing to help you from enrollment to 10 to 12 grades.
