Eastview High School
High school is a name used in some parts of the world, and particularly in North America, to describe the last segment of compulsory secondary education. It is preceded by primary education. High school is also the name used to describe the institution in which the final stage of compulsory education takes place. In the United States, high schools generally consist of grades 9, 10, 11, and 12, although the inclusion of grade 9 varies by school district.
Eastview High School is a top high school situated in the United States. Eastview High School is a fourth comprehensive high school, opened in September 1997. Eastview High School is located in Apple Valley, adjacent to 200 acres of playing fields and entertaining facilities. The 330,000 square foot facility is built to house 2,000 students in grades 9 to 12. Eastview High School's students have achieved high honors in academics, athletics, and the arts. Eastview was identified as a ten star school by the Minnesota Department of Education.
Eastview High School offers courses in 15 subject areas, including a full range of special education courses, work program alternatives and school to work electives. Many of these courses are designed to meet the needs of students across a wide range of abilities, interests and post-high school aspirations. Though, certain courses are focused on special needs of students. Their special programs provide a range of services for students having educational, social, emotional or psychological difficulties which may hamper with the teaching experience. In addition to a complete list of courses, Eastview High School offers a broad range of school activities to meet student’s interests and needs.
There are 58 different programs including theatre, dance, music, speech, student government and debate. Eastview High School is a member of the Lake Conference and Region 6AA which ensures competition with Minnesota's finest programs.
At Eastview High School, their mission is to promote educational growth through a rigorous curriculum along with the acquisition of technical skills and knowledge that will provide a basis for lifelong learning and will create a bridge between education and career.
