Tampa Bay Tech
High school is a name used in some parts of the world, and particularly in North America, to describe the last segment of compulsory secondary education. It is preceded by primary education. High school is also the name used to describe the institution in which the final stage of compulsory education takes place. In the United States, high schools generally consist of grades 9, 10, 11, and 12, although the inclusion of grade 9 varies by school district. Tampa Bay Technical High School was established in 1969 at Orient Road Tampa, Florida. The students and faculty often refer to it as Tech or TBT. The school mascot is the Titan. Christopher Farkas is the Principal of the school. The academy of architecture features six courses designed to educate students in the field of architecture. The following AP, Advance Placement courses are offered at TBT are AP Art History, AP Biology, AP Calculus AB, AP Chemistry, AP English Language and Composition, AP English Literature and Composition, AP Human Geography, AP Psychology, AP Spanish, AP Statistics, AP US History, and AP World, History. Each student is given the opportunity to earn a high school diploma while acquiring technical skills to assure the foundation of future success. At Tampa Bay Technical High School, they will use the cooperative team approach to jointly coordinate instruction and provide a nurturing environment to assure student success.
At Tampa Bay Technical High School, they guarantee opportunities for students, faculty, parents, and community in planning, implementing and evaluating the programs to ensure that state of the art technical and educational opportunities exist for all students. They emphasize pride, work ethic and good citizenship in school and community.
