Shorewood
High school is a name used in some parts of the world, and particularly in North America, to describe the last segment of compulsory secondary education. It is preceded by primary education. High school is also the name used to describe the institution in which the final stage of compulsory education takes place. In the United States, high schools generally consist of grades 9, 10, 11, and 12, although the inclusion of grade 9 varies by school district.
Shorewood High School is a comprehensive public secondary school located in the village of Shorewood, Wisconsin. It is in the Shorewood School District which also includes two grade schools and an intermediate school. Shorewood's strong academic program is enriched by exceptional performing arts programs, a broad assortment of clubs and athletics, cross country, swimming, volleyball and track teams are frequently involved in state level competition. Dr. Rick Monroe is a principal of the Shorewood High School. The school colors are red and grey and mascot is Greyhound.
Shorewood High School is nationally renowned for its music and drama departments. The band, choir, orchestra, and drama departments are all housed in the performing arts building which includes the beautifully restored auditorium. In athletics, Shorewood's cross country program is one of the strongest in the state.
