High school is a name used in some parts of the world, and particularly in North America, to describe the last segment of compulsory secondary education. It is preceded by primary education. Lincoln High School is a high school located in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Enrollment currently is of 1,917 students. Lincoln was included in the list of the top 1200 public schools in the U.S. by Newsweek in their May 8, 2006 issue, ranking just short of a thousand. Valerie Fox is the principal and James Dorman, Mike Klinedinst and Timothy Hazlett are assisting to him. The Lincoln High School improvement plan was installed for the 2005-2006 school year. It is a 77 page document that improved the students learning process and many more.

Lincoln High School has many clubs, including the Alpine Club, Club Earth, Spanish Club, French Club, German Club, Latin Club, Chinese Club, Chess Club, Ping-Pong Club, DDR Club, Drama Club, Yoga Club, Student Republicans, Student Democrats, Marching Band, Varsity Band, Freshman Band, Concert Band, Symphonic Band, Jazz I, II, and III, Concert Choir, Girls Choral, Cliff Avenue Singers, Sotto Voce, Bel Canto, Chamber Choir, Cadet Choir, Canto Fratelli, Cantare, Freshman Orchestra, Symphony Orchestra, JV Orchestra, Yearbook Committee, Social Committee, Student Council, Statesman, National Honor Society, Debate, Oral Interp, Native American Connections and many more.

One of Lincoln's largest clubs is the Lincoln High School Ping-Pong Club. It boasts 50 members and is the first high school table tennis club in the state of South Dakota. The club was co-founded during the 2005-2006 school year by Andrew Wald and Josh Oppenheimer. The Lincoln High School aims on targeting the success of their students. The institution is renowned due to qualities like supportive learning environment, respected and enthusiastic staff and faculty members, and the capability to meet the needs of the community’s wide ranging requirements.
