Lawton Chiles High School is located on US 319 in the northern part of Bradfordville, Leon County, Florida, north of Tallahassee. Lawton Chiles High School was established in 1999 and is the newest public high school in the Leon County school district. The first graduating class was the class of 2002. The school is named in honor of Lawton Chiles, governor of Florida from 1991 to 1998. In 2006, Lawton Chiles High School placed at number 278 among the top 1200 high schools in the United States. Dr. Alan Cox is the principal of the school. The school colors are maroon and silver and their mascot is Timberwolves.

The Lawton Chiles High School aims on targeting the success of their students. The institution is renowned due to qualities like supportive learning environment, respected and enthusiastic staff and faculty members and the capability to meet the needs of the community’s wide ranging requirements.
