Lawrence North
High school is a name used in some parts of the world, and particularly in North America, to describe the last segment of compulsory secondary education. In the United States, high schools generally consist of grades 9, 10, 11, and 12, although the inclusion of grade 9 varies by school district.
LN, Lawrence North High School opened its doors to students in the fall of 1976. Lawrence North is progressive and innovative and has made a conscious effort to focus on student achievement, lifelong learning and building a sense of community among all stakeholders. The participants in the LN family of students, parents, teachers and community members are committed to building a partnership for the future. Lawrence North High School is a public high school in Indianapolis, Indiana. It is located at 7802 N. Hague Road on the Northeast side of the city. Steve Goeglein is the principal of this school. Phyllis Bandy, Eric Floyd, Tracey Means are assisting to him.
There are also a variety of programs to promote academic success for struggling students. LN is on a eight-block schedule allowing students the opportunities to not only participate in multiple classes but also have the student resource period for additional teacher support and use of library and other computer lab opportunities. Consistently ranked in one of the top performing academic leagues in the state, Lawrence North consistently performs well in state-wide testing, as well as above national averages in SAT, the Scholastic Aptitude Test and ACT, a college-entrance achievement testing.
Lawrence North has been recognized as a Four Star School with an Indiana Department of Education and Excellence Award and as a National Blue Ribbon School. Lawrence North students have been recognized at both national and state levels as national merit finalists, wells scholars, presidential scholars, Indiana academic all-spell bowl finalists, brain game team state runner-up, academic decathlon team state finalists, academic super-bowl state recipients, state basketball title and state track title.
The Lawrence North counseling and guidance department to help all students find success in high school and to prepare all students for success in the future. They hope these resources will help achieve those goals. The Lawrence North High School aims on targeting the success of their students. The institution is renowned due to qualities like supportive learning environment, respected and enthusiastic staff and faculty members, and the capability to meet the needs of the community’s wide ranging requirements.
