Chagrin Falls
High school is a name used in some parts of the world, and particularly in North America, to describe the last segment of compulsory secondary education. It is preceded by primary education. High school is also the name used to describe the institution in which the final stage of compulsory education takes place. In the United States, high schools generally consist of grades 9, 10, 11, and 12, although the inclusion of grade 9 varies by school district.
Chagrin Falls High School is located in Chagrin Falls, Ohio, a southeastern suburb in the Greater Cleveland metropolitan area. In 2006, it was placed 97th on Newsweek Magazine's Top 1200 Schools list. The high school's mascot is Mortimer the tiger. Principal Robert Hunt is the very much effective and scholar person who deserves the position. He and his school staff are aware of the responsibilities of the student’s problems and suggestions. Chagrin Falls High School has two administrators, one athletic director, fifty-three teaching faculty, three counselors, one psychologist and a librarian.
Chagrin Falls High School issued its first diploma in 1879, with only one graduate. The first large group to graduate was in 1888 and this graduating class consisted of four people. Since then, the high school has graduated over 9,097 students. In Chagrin Falls High School organize the situational programs and extra curricular activities. Scholl’s Sports and athletics department is very progressive. School gives the coaching of basketball, hockey, gymnastics, swimming and wrestling.
Chagrin Falls High Schools NHS, National Honor Society is one of the academic departments. NHS does not recognize just academic achievement. The mission of the Chagrin Falls exempted village school district is to provide a comprehensive range of learning opportunities through which students, staff, and community, in partnership, can develop each student’s knowledge, confidence and responsibility leading to individual success and lifelong learning.
