Brighton
High school is a name used in some parts of the world, and particularly in North America, to describe the last segment of compulsory secondary education. It is preceded by primary education. High school is also the name used to describe the institution in which the final stage of compulsory education takes place. In the United States, high schools generally consist of grades 9, 10, 11, and 12, although the inclusion of grade 9 varies by school district.
Brighton High School is located near the foothills of the Wasatch Mountains about ten miles south of Salt Lake City. The school serves a suburban area with approximate boundaries from 6600 South to 9400 South and 2000 East to 3455 east. Brighton's well-established community is an asset to the school. Residents are actively involved with the school and show strong support for Brighton High programs and activities. The Brighton High faculty is committed to see that students consistently move toward their educational potential.
Brighton High School Brighton High serves about 2,050 students in grades 10 through 12. The school, which opened in 1969, is designed with two octagonal sections housing self-contained classrooms and a full auditorium. A gymnasium and support areas complete the building which is situated on the brow of a hill. School is in session for 180 days a year on a traditional nine month calendar using a five-period tri-mester schedule. The teacher and pupil ratio is 1 to 27.3, but actual class sizes vary. The Brighton High staff is consistently working to improve through observations, evaluations, and conferences with administrators. The Brighton goal is to create the best teachers and the best educational climate possible.

Brighton High School provides many activities, extra-curricular and other, for student involvement. Brighton High School activities are Accadians Drill Team, Baseball, Boys' Basketball, Girls' Basketball, Cheerleaders, Cross Country, Football, Boys' Soccer, Softball, Swimming, Boys' Tennis, Girls' Tennis, Track & Field, Volleyball and Wrestling.
Their teachers and students work together in small learning communities to provide the highest quality education for each individual student.
