Shades Valley - Jefferson County IBS
High school is a name used in some parts of the world, and particularly in North America, to describe the last segment of compulsory secondary education. It is preceded by primary education. High school is also the name used to describe the institution in which the final stage of compulsory education takes place. In the United States, high schools generally consist of grades 9, 10, 11, and 12, although the inclusion of grade 9 varies by school district.
Shades Valley is a top high school situated in the United States. Jane Baker is the Principal of the school. Fredricka Snipes is President of the school. As well as Cathy Foust is the one of the Counselors. The Shades Valley Pre-Engineering Academy provides an excellent comprehensive high school experience. The college preparatory program is focused on math, science and engineering. Students have the opportunity to enroll in a sequence of courses covering the essential topics in technology including design, digital electronics, principals of engineering; computer integrated manufacturing and a technology research project. As well as they offer the finance, visual art education.
Shades Valley Band Honors include 1996 to 2006 Best in Class Band at the Greater Birmingham Marching Festival, White Columns Invitational, Phoenix Invitational, Tuscaloosa Showcase of Bands, Pell City Invitational, Heart of Dixie Marching Festival, 2005 VMI Contest, Straight 1's, 2002 All-star Music Festival, Orlando, 1st Place, 2005 Fiesta-Val Contest, 1st in class. The Pre-Engineering and Computer Science Academy is a four-year curriculum of courses designed to provide training in engineering concepts, programming, and digital design skills appropriate to needs of the twenty-first century. Students will take courses that are integrated with a supporting curriculum of mathematics, science, language arts, and social studies. Students will apply skills learned in algebra to the physics fundamentals of force, mass, and motion.
