Osbourn
High school is a name used in some parts of the world, and particularly in North America, to describe the last segment of compulsory secondary education. It is preceded by primary education. High school is also the name used to describe the institution in which the final stage of compulsory education takes place. In the United States, high schools generally consist of grades 9, 10, 11, and 12, although the inclusion of grade 9 varies by school district. Osbourn is a top high school situated in the United States. Osbourn High School is a secondary school for grades 9 to 12 located in Manassas, Virginia, United States and the sole high school of the Manassas City Public Schools system. Osbourn currently has a very superb football team and they are ranked fourth overall in the Washington D.C. Osbourn High School is a caring community that recognizes the diversity, individual merits and combined strengths of its members, will prepare well-rounded graduates who possess the knowledge, critical thinking skills and self-awareness necessary for success in continuing education, the workplace, the family and the community. The school was in the Virginia State Championship football game for 2006. The game took place on December 9, 2006 against Chantilly High School and took place at Freedom High School. Osbourn won the game, with that win; they claimed the 2006 Virginia Division AAA Group 6 State championship. Osbourn High School through its safe, positive and dynamic environment and its comprehensive, focused and challenging curriculum, will afford the opportunities and encouragement to its students necessary for responsible, productive citizenship and life-long learning.
