Osbourn Park
High school is a name used in some parts of the world, and particularly in North America, to describe the last segment of compulsory secondary education. It is preceded by primary education. High school is also the name used to describe the institution in which the final stage of compulsory education takes place. In the United States, high schools generally consist of grades 9, 10, 11, and 12, although the inclusion of grade 9 varies by school district.
Osbourn Park is a top high school situated in the United States. Osbourn Park Senior High School is a public secondary school in Manassas, Virginia and one of ten high schools located in suburban Prince William County and is a part of the Washington, D.C metropolitan area. Osbourn Park serves the mid part of the county and is located between the cities of Manassas and Manassas Park. It has at various times had a student population ranging from 1900 to 2500, but it is presently at 2,642 in grades 9 to 12.
The Principal of the school is Tim Healey and the school colors are blue and yellow. Osborne Park is very much a classic school of the 1970s, constructed with open, modular classrooms. Renovations began in 2005 to update the near thirty-year old interior of the building. Some of the changes include permanent walls for classrooms including doors, new floors, and newly painted walls. The school mascot is a yellow jacket and the sports teams presently play in the AAA Cedar Run District and Northwest Region.
At Osbourn Park, their mission is to provide a learning environment where students are challenged to reach their individual potential in the acquisition of knowledge and the development of personal, cultural and democratic values essential for future success.
