Franklin
High school is a name used in some parts of the world, and particularly in North America, to describe the last segment of compulsory secondary education. It is preceded by primary education. High school is also the name used to describe the institution in which the final stage of compulsory education takes place. In the United States, high schools generally consist of grades 9, 10, 11, and 12, although the inclusion of grade 9 varies by school district.
The Franklin High School opened on February 17, 1916 in one half of the second floor of the old Monte Vista Elementary School. The school enrolled 225 students with a faculty of 115.
The school has different types of sports such as soccer, baseball, tennis, basketball, football, Volleyball, Softball, Cheer, and Drill Team. The School Principal is Mr. Luis Lopez. In this school following department are available Art Foreign Language Math, Business Health Perkins Academy, Computers Home Economics Physical Ed., English Industrial Arts Science and E.S.L Jrotc Social Studies.
The Spanish Club was organized. It was the first club to be organized at Franklin and grew out of a desire on the part of students of Spanish to enhance the pleasure and profit from their study of the language. Meeting occurred twice a month and was open to the school as a whole.
The Franklin High School aims on targeting the success of their students. The institution is renowned due to qualities like supportive learning environment, respected and enthusiastic staff and faculty members, and the capability to meet the needs of the community’s wide ranging requirements.
