High school is also the name used to describe the institution in which the final stage of compulsory education takes place. In the United States, high schools generally consist of grades 9, 10, 11, and 12, although the inclusion of grade 9 varies by school district.

Annapolis High School sits a few short miles away from the heart of Annapolis, Maryland's historic and charming state capital. The school celebrated the completion of their first century during the 1998-1999 school years. The energy and enthusiasm of its staff and students characterize Annapolis High School. The environment of the school empowers students to outshine in a positive learning environment created by its hallmark program known as T.E.A.M. Days.
