A&M Consolidated
High school is a name used in some parts of the world, and particularly in North America, to describe the last segment of compulsory secondary education. It is preceded by primary education. High school is also the name used to describe the institution in which the final stage of compulsory education takes place. In the United States, high schools generally consist of grades 9, 10, 11, and 12, although the inclusion of grade 9 varies by school district. A&M Consolidated High School is a four year public high school consisting of grades 9 to 12, located in College Station, Texas and is part of the College Station Independent School District. Ron Fox is the principal of the school. The school has over 30 clubs, all ranging from language, community service, sports, music, computer, government and many more. Some clubs include sports, arts, music, business, community, academics, languages, writing, media etc. The school's newspaper is named The Roar. The World Geography and AP Human Geography students of A&M Consolidated High School competed in the National Geography Challenge which is sponsored by the National Council for Geographic Education. Six students from A&M Consolidated High School attended the Business Professionals of America 2005 National Conference, in Anaheim, California. A&M Consolidated High School is listed in America's top 1,000 schools. A&M Consolidated High School is accredited by the Texas Education Agency and the Southern Association of Secondary Schools and Colleges. There mission is to educate the hearts and minds of students for life. The educated heart and mind embodies worship for natural and human life, a respect for excellence, an appreciation of beauty, a tolerance of and concern for others and a willingness to reconsider old assumptions.
