Ramona
High school is a name used in some parts of the world, and particularly in North America, to describe the last segment of compulsory secondary education. It is preceded by primary education. High school is also the name used to describe the institution in which the final stage of compulsory education takes place. In the United States, high schools generally consist of grades 9, 10, 11, and 12, although the inclusion of grade 9 varies by school district.
Ramona school is a top high school situated in the United States. Ramona school is located at Magnolia Ave, Riverside, California. Dr. Maria Armstrong is the principal of School. Ramona High School was the opened in 1956, and graduated its first class in 1958. More than 30 percent of each graduating class applies to, and is accepted into 4-year colleges and universities, and more than 50 percent of each graduating class attends a 2-year community college. Ramona also boasts a nationally acclaimed band that has been featured in major motion pictures, television & commercials worldwide. Ramona has been designated as a National Demonstration School for the AVID Program and hosts visitors from around the world. Ramona High School is home to the largest campus in Riverside Unified School District covering 55 acres, and has a stadium and full-sized performing arts theatre.
School offers many core courses like Computer science advanced placement, computers, directed study, computer applications, cultural foods and nutrition, foods and nutrition, drafting technology etc. School also offers different language courses.
Acceptance into an AP, Advance Placement Program class is determined by the teacher based on the student’s abilities. All students are encouraged to follow a college preparatory program. Ramona is currently offering the following AP courses like calculus, chemistry, English language, English literature, environmental science, and European history. Ramona boasts a wide diversity of ethnicities, and languages. Currently there are over 14 different languages spoken in campus.
Vision of Ramona High School is to enrich the mind, body, and spirit of all through programs of excellence. And the mission is to prepare students to continue to learn, to contribute to the community, and to function as responsible members of society. Ramona Ram is the mascot of school.
