Newbury Park High School, founded in 1967, is located in Newbury Park, California about 50 miles northwest of Los Angeles. The school is host to the annual Big Cat Run, a fundraiser event held with benefits used for the school's Track and Field team and the local chapter of the Rotary Club, who cosponsors the event. In 2005, Newbury received a new stadium, complete with all-weather track and football field. It was also a recipient of the No Child Left Behind Blue Ribbon School award in 2006. Principal of the Newbury Park High School is Athol Wong.
Its instructional levels include International Baccalaureate, Advanced Placement, Honors, College Prep, Standard, and Basic.
