High school is also the name used to describe the institution in which the final stage of compulsory education takes place. In the United States, high schools generally consist of grades 9, 10, 11, and 12, although the inclusion of grade 9 varies by school district.

In 1957 a new school was built on the present site. The school motto is Domus Victorum which means Home of the Victors. Narbonne's colors are green and gold. The school's mascot is the Gaucho. Linda Kay, is the new Principal of Narbonne High School.
