It serves students in the north Garland area of the Garland Independent School District. It has some 2,255 students and 140 teachers. The school mascot is the Forest Ranger.
The NFHS Library's most important function is to support the school's curriculum a secondary function is to provide leisure reading for both the students and the faculty. To help achieve these services, the library maintains a basic reference, fiction, nonfiction, and biography collection and subscribes to the daily newspaper and to a large number of magazines.
The athletics programs include baseball, basketball, men's, basketball, women's, cheerleading, cross country, football, golf, soccer, softball, swimming, men's and women's, tennis, men's and women's, track, volleyball, wrestling. Naaman Forest is a dynamic school that promotes academic achievement, high expectations, respect, unity, and safety. Naaman Foreststrives to develop specific goals and high academic standards, using communication and commitment within a shared learning environment.
