Mount Tabor
High school is a name used in some parts of the world, and particularly in North America, to describe the last segment of compulsory secondary education. It is preceded by primary education. High school is also the name used to describe the institution in which the final stage of compulsory education takes place. Mount Tabor High School is a high school located in Winston-Salem, North Carolina and is part of the school system. As of May 22, 2005, Mount Tabor had a student population of about 1,800 9th through 12th grade students. Mount Tabor High School Principal is Martha Land. Mount Tabor High School hosts many athletic programs, a full list of which includes baseball, lacrosse, basketball, soccer, cheerleading, and softball, cross country, swimming, field hockey, tennis, football, volleyball, golf, wrestling, track, and marching band. Its sports teams have won several state championships. The students can participate in any sport for a small equipment fee, but may have to try out for larger teams.

Mount Tabor High School strives to develop specific goals and high academic standards, using communication and commitment within a shared learning environment.
The mission of Mount Tabor High School is to offer an environment in which all students will acquire the necessary skills to become responsible thinkers who appreciate diversity and are productive citizens in their community.
