Campolindo
High school is a name used in some parts of the world, and particularly in North America, to describe the last segment of compulsory secondary education. It is preceded by primary education. High school is also the name used to describe the institution in which the final stage of compulsory education takes place. In the United States, high schools generally consist of grades 9, 10, 11, and 12, although the inclusion of grade 9 varies by school district.
Campolindo High School is a public school located in Moraga, California. The school is one of the five high schools in the Acalanes Union High School District. Campolindo takes pride in offering a superior education system in the the Acalanes School District, with particular emphasis on its participation in the Advanced Placement program. Carol Kitchens is the principle of the school and their mascot is Cougar and colors are red and blue.
Campolindo follows the California State guidelines for graduation requirements. Campolindo has been a particularly strong school for sports. The cougars play in Division III and have outstanding programs in women's volleyball, men's basketball and men's and women's swimming and diving. The school's main rival is Miramonte High School in the neighboring city of Orinda, though a competition with Acalanes High School in Lafayette. The Campolindo Performing Arts Center opened in 2003. The Soda Aquatic Center opened in 1999.
At Campolindo High School, their mission is to empower skilled, lifelong learners to become productive citizens in a multicultural society.
