California High School
High school is a name used in some parts of the world, and particularly in North America, to describe the last segment of compulsory secondary education. It is preceded by primary education. High school is also the name used to describe the institution in which the final stage of compulsory education takes place. In the United States, high schools generally consist of grades 9, 10, 11, and 12, although the inclusion of grade 9 varies by school district. California High School is located in San Ramon, California. It is a public school and presently has about 2,400 students. Its mascot is a Grizzly Bear and is Home of the Grizzlies. The school's newspaper is The Californian. Mark Corti is the Principal of the school. They have had many students finish the class with good jobs in the web paging field. The class has received 4 national awards for its web site. These awards were presented by Cisco who sponsors the Cool Schools program, Midlink Magazine sponsoring the Cool Schools Award, the Golden Web Award and the Education Website Excellence Award. At California High School, their mission is to develop student potential, self-worth and responsibility. To achieve this mission, the staff promotes a positive environment and a diverse educational program of excellence, which includes academics, arts vocational education, extracurricular activities and life skills.
