Gateway High School
High school is a name used in some parts of the world, and particularly in North America, to describe the last segment of compulsory secondary education. It is preceded by primary education. High school is also the name used to describe the institution in which the final stage of compulsory education takes place. In the United States, high schools generally consist of grades 9, 10, 11, and 12, although the inclusion of grade 9 varies by school district.

Gateway High School is a model, college introductory charter school committed to academic excellence through personalized, student-centered learning. They provide rigorous curriculum, which exceeds the University of California A to G requirements. In addition they offer range of extracurricular activities, including interscholastic sports, clubs and activities, a framework for a partnership among students, their families and the School.
Gateway fosters and enjoys a strong sense of community, founded on intentional, meaningful interactions among students, faculty, parents, volunteers, alumni, trustees and friends. Gateway was founded by a group of families who believed there was a need in the Bay Area for a smaller, personalized, college preparatory public high school with a commitment to serving a diverse student population.
The Gateway academic program is designed to provide a quality college preparatory education to a diverse group of students, including a significant number with learning differences. Gateway's technology program is based upon a cross-curricular integrative model, where students acquire technology training and skills in their classes across multiple subject areas.
