Foshay Learning Center
High school is a name used in some parts of the world, and particularly in North America, to describe the last segment of compulsory secondary education. It is preceded by primary education. High school is also the name used to describe the institution in which the final stage of compulsory education takes place. In the United States, high schools generally consist of grades 9, 10, 11, and 12, although the inclusion of grade 9 varies by school district.
Foshay Learning Center was originally a junior high founded in February of 1925, but has since changed into a K-12 school, and has become a California distinguished school. The Foshay Choir is made up of many different students. In aiding them, students also have to take private lessons and have practices every Thursday after-school.
Foshay Learning Center library was renewed on October 21, 1997. There are approximatley over 10,000 books for students to use. Within these books both students and staff can find the fiction and non-fiction print collection, reference materials which include encyclopedias, dictionaries, atlases and almanacs, as well as magazines and newspapers. Students and staff also have access to the library's computer lab. All computers come with Microsoft Office programs, internet access and are very useful for library research.
The library also includes a beautiful reading place where students can stay at and enjoy a nice book. They also have a great staff that is very helpful on finding resources for preety much anything might need. The clinic provides services to the Foshay Community School mental health service personnel serving the mental health needs of students. Parent Center is the Family Center is the point of entry for students, families and School staff and community members.
Foshay Learning Center has successfully included a diverse range of facilities for their candidates in various fields. The Academy's key mission is to teach students serve efficiently future betterment.
