El Modena
High school is a name used in some parts of the world, and particularly in North America, to describe the last segment of compulsory secondary education. It is preceded by primary education. High school is also the name used to describe the institution in which the final stage of compulsory education takes place. In the United States, high schools generally consist of grades 9, 10, 11, and 12, although the inclusion of grade 9 varies by school district.
El Modena High School is a complete public high school located in Orange, California. As a California Distinguished School, El Modena serves approximately 2200 students. In the fall of 2006, El Modena will be celebrating 40 years of service to the families of Orange. El Modena High School, sometimes called El Mo, is a conventional 4 year public high school located in the El Modena neighborhood in the eastern portion of the city of Orange in Orange County, California.
The Newsweek Magazine has chosen El Modena High School as one of the Top High Schools in the United States. At El Modena High School, they stand tall and ready to guard the right to learn and to value the potential and importance of each individual. They are learning in a technological society to access information, to think critically and to make good decisions. They are endeavoring in a multicultural community, to accept one another, to adapt, to change and to help meet the needs of others.
