Eastlake
High school is a name used in some parts of the world, and particularly in North America, to describe the last segment of compulsory secondary education. It is preceded by primary education. High school is also the name used to describe the institution in which the final stage of compulsory education takes place. In the United States, high schools generally consist of grades 9, 10, 11, and 12, although the inclusion of grade 9 varies by school district.
Eastlake High School in Chula Vista, California, United States, is a four-year comprehensive high school which opened on September 8, 1992. It is a 1999 and 2005 California Distinguished School. The school has about 2,300 students and Mr. Sebastian Perez is the Principal of the school.
The school is located near the eastern edge of Chula Vista, a suburb to the south of San Diego and the downtown area. Additionally, there is a state of the art performing arts facility on campus that is used by many people in the community for plays, church services and other community performances. In addition, the shool also has a state of the art engineering department, with classes ranging from Introduction to Engineering Design to Civil Engineering and Architecture. The school mascot is Titan and school colors are Royal Blue, Kelly Green and Grey and school district is Sweetwater Union High School District.
At Eastlake High School, their mission is to promote educational growth through a rigorous curriculum along with the acquisition of technical skills and knowledge that will provide a basis for lifelong learning and will create a bridge between education and career.
