Bell
High school is a name used in some parts of the world, and particularly in North America, to describe the last segment of compulsory secondary education. It is preceded by primary education. High school is also the name used to describe the institution in which the final stage of compulsory education takes place. In the United States, high schools generally consist of grades 9, 10, 11, and 12, although the inclusion of grade 9 varies by school district.
Bell High School is a secondary school in Bell, California, United States. Dr. Onofre di Stefano is the principle of the school. The school, which serves grades 9 through 12, is a part of district 6 of the Los Angeles Unified School District.
Its motto is honor lies in honest toil, its mascot is the eagle, and the school colors are purple and gold. The only high school in the City of Bell, also serves the surrounding cities of Cudahy and Maywood. Some portions of Huntington Park and Maywood are zoned to both Bell High School and Huntington Park High School.
Their departments includes computer operations handled by Ms. Glover, English by Ms. Paschalidis, Japanese by Mr. Mathos, Physical Education by Mr. Medinilla, Science by Ms. Del Villar, Special Education by Ms. Bhatia, Social Studies by Ms. Brown. The school provides many playing teams to their students. Including Football, Soccer, Basketball, Baseball, Tennis, Wrestling, Volleyball, Softball, Cross-Country and Field, Cheerleading, the Golden Chickens Marching Band, Short Flags and Tall Flags Swimming etc.
Bell High School is devoted to the education and individual improvement of every candidate. The school attempts to be aware and responsive in its program offerings in order to mirror the requirements of the changing world.
