Bartram Trail High School
High school is a name used in some parts of the world, and particularly in North America, to describe the last segment of compulsory secondary education. It is preceded by primary education. High school is also the name used to describe the institution in which the final stage of compulsory education takes place. In the United States, high schools generally consist of grades 9, 10, 11, and 12, although the inclusion of grade 9 varies by school district.
Bartram Trail High School was located in Jacksonville, Florida. It has earned an A rating beginning with its first graduating class in 2001. In 2005, Bartram Trail was recognized by Newsweek Magazine as one of the top 1,000 high schools in the nation, ranked as number 894. They continue to improve being ranked in 2006 at position 568, an improvement of 326 slots. As a premier school they are proud of their graduates in prestigious universities, nationally and abroad, including the United States Military Academy at West Point, the United States Naval Academy, the United States Air Force Academy and the United States Merchant Marine Academy.
They are built because student learning is the top priority, every course will strive to increase student knowledge, understanding, analysis, or performance. High expectations and a commitment toward excellence lead to accelerated performance, thereby empowering individuals and strengthening society. Their departments include art, English, exceptional student education, maths, performing arts, physical education, science, social studies, vocational, world and foreign language and non-instructional department. Sport department includes baseball, basketball, cross country, dance, football, golf, softball, soccer and volleyball. Bartram Trail High School serves as a center for academic excellence, community involvement and character development, while fostering a joy for lifelong learning.
They focus on training students for particular careers and then placing them in successful careers after graduation. They have a devoted team of staff and instructors ready and willing to help you from enrollment to 10 to 12 grades. The mission of Bartram Trail High School High School is to provide their students with opportunities to obtain the skills needed to become productive, responsible citizens, capable of making positive contributions to a changing society.
