Advertising Information for besthousingvalue

High school is a name used in some parts of the world, and particularly in North America, to describe the last segment of compulsory secondary education. In the United States, high schools generally consist of grades 9, 10, 11, and 12, although the inclusion of grade 9 varies by school district.

BCHS, Barron G. Collier High School of the Arts is a top high school situated in the United States. Barron G. Collier High School is a standard four-year high school located at 5600 Cougar Drive in Naples, Florida, USA. The school opened its doors to the first wave of students in 1978 as the third high school in the area, with the senior class graduating in spring 1979. The first principal was Paul Manley, followed by Toni Eubank and Raymond Baker. The building has been extensively expanded and remodeled over the years to keep up with the increasing student numbers.

Barron G. Collier High School is one of the seven members of the Collier County Athletic Conference. The school's official list of sports is separated by season. In 2006, the Barron Collier Cougars Varsity Girls Basketball won the Class 5A state championship. Barron G. Collier High School is home to many different extracurricular clubs. An accurate, up-to-date list is difficult to keep, as clubs are added and dropped as students graduate or lose interest. However, some of the notable clubs are DECA, the Distributive Education Clubs of America, Drama Club, JROTC, the Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps and Key Club.

The main BCHS campus consists of a large building with a small courtyard towards the east side of the building. Most of the building is on a single level. There are several classrooms on a second floor above the media center. An auxiliary building contains the ROTC, Reserve Officer Training Corps classrooms. The school also includes computer labs, two gymnasiums, a football stadium, a cafeteria with patio, a media center, a TV production studio, darkrooms and an auditorium. Other buildings nearby include the recently constructed Collier County Public Schools administrative center, an elementary school and a YMCA, the Young Men's Christian Association.

The mission of BCHS, Barron G. Collier High School is to provide their students with opportunities to obtain the skills needed to become productive, responsible citizens, capable of making positive contributions to a changing society.
