Montebello

Montebello is a city in Los Angeles County, California, United States. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 62,150. One of Montebello's best-loved city parks is Grant Rea Park, which houses the Montebello Barnyard Zoo. The city is served by the Montebello Unified School District. Montebello High School and Schurr High School are the 2 public high schools in the city of Montebello. Cantwell High School, a private school, is also located in Montebello.
In the city the population was spread out with 28.6 percent under the age of 18, 10.4 percent from 18 to 24, 30.3 percent from 25 to 44, 18.2 percent from 45 to 64, and 12.4 percent who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 31 years. For every 100 females there were 92.4 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 88.3 males.
Like some of its sister municipalities and towns, Montebello is blessed with beautiful surroundings and a unique natural setting. The picturesque scenery, the majesty of nature, the slow pace of life, and the welcoming nature of its people all combine to make this region one of the most important tourist attractions in United States.
